What we need

Brittle Motor Group Limited (BMG) will be what is known as the “Intermediary” of the personal data you provide to us. Brittle Motor Group Limited’s company registration number is 03687126 and its registered address is: Winton House, Stoke Road, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire ST4 2RW.

Unless otherwise agreed with you, we will only collect basic personal data about you. This information does, however, include the likes of your name, date of birth, marital status, address, e-mail address, telephone number(s), address history, residential status, occupation, employer’s name and address, time in employment, bank details, driving licence number, and any ID documents required to be provided by you (such as driving licence, passport, ID card, credit/debit card, proof of disability, proof of home ownership, P60, wage slip, pension statement, bank statement(s), company accounts, council tax bill, utility bill(s), council/housing association tenancy ownership, etc.).

Why we need it

We need to know basic personal data in order to provide you with the consultancy services you have engaged us to provide as a finance intermediary. If you do not provide this information, then we will be unable to provide the services you have requested. We will not collect any personal data from you that we do not need in order to provide and oversee the services we have agreed to provide you with.

What we do with it

All the personal data we hold about you will be processed by our staff in the United Kingdom and no third parties will have access to your personal data unless there is a legal obligation for us to provide them with this. Please be aware, however, that your information may be stored on a cloud-based system whose servers are located within the United Kingdom.

We take all reasonable steps to ensure that your personal data is processed securely.

How long we keep it

If your application for finance is declined or if your application is accepted but you do not proceed, we will keep your information for 6 months or as long as necessary to deal with any queries you may have. If your application is accepted and you proceed, we will generally retain your personal data for 7 years, after which time it will be destroyed if it is no longer required for the lawful purpose(s) for which it was obtained. If you consent to marketing, any information we use for this purpose will be kept with us until you notify us that you no longer wish to receive this information.

Occasionally, we would like to send you information about our own products and services, by telephone, post, e-mail and SMS. Please note that if you consent to being sent our marketing information via e-mail then your data may be shared with our marketing department.
